I'm sure that PSG would offer him enough money to at least tempt him.

Messi: "I won't move from Barca."
PSG: "€2M per week"
Messi: "Let me speak to my accountant"
Messi: "What's my French tax liability on €2M per week"
Accountant: "€0"
Messi: "Interesting."

Messi would never play in France. The tax rate is 75% higher than he currently pays.

Obviously, they´d adjust his income to offset this.

You think he´s going to France, for the same money?

Tell me why.

Tell me why.

Only played 40ish matches, 19 years old...fifth-highest all-time transfer fee for a defender.

PSG, e'rybody!

ETA: Good job, Arsenal.

i jest, but i hope it's true. i did a little research on him after we were first linked and I think it'd be a great signing.

i will say this about the buy, how much would you pay for Varane or Nastasic? I don't think the fee is outrageous.

It was a tax evasion joke. France's tax rate for the highest bracket is 75%. I was joking that he paid 0% in taxes. (Obviously, that is not actually 75% more, but you know what I mean).

Messi will retire at Barcelona.

Bernard is titty skin on FIFA. I may have to play with Arsenal a little more frequently now.

Probably, but it'd be interesting to see what kind of wages that PSG would put in front of him if they'd be willing to trigger his buyout clause

ETA: You'd have to imagine that he'd at least think about it if they did something outrageous like put Tiger Woods money in front of him

he better be a fine player at 35 mil (including the bonuses).

I'm still kinda sour he left Corinthians for only 7-8 million euros to Roma.. ofcourse 4.5 million euros from that 35 mil will go to our pockets but he should've never left to begin with, but it helps he's going to my favorite team PSG.

Also PSG have loaned out young starlet Adrien Rabiot (Hands off Arsenal), which means one of Hernanes or Luiz Gustavo will be on their way to de Par de Princes. Ici C'est Paris!!! Vai Timao!!
