overpaid in the sense that's way more than an older player with a terrible injury history with an expiring contract, even someone of his talent, should have gotten. it worked out well for you all, but it's not an ex post facto determination.

I don't think they overpaid for RVP. He was coming off a career year. He seemed to finally bypass his injuries to an extent. Putting together a full healthy season is a big step towards a player overcoming prior injury histories.

The long diagonal seems to be a special favorite of a lot of English players.

Interesting (accurate) insight. You always hear the straight ball emphasized when the English talk about accurate long passes, and then, you watch someone like Paul Scholes play 60 yard straight, inch-perfect diagonal balls without even trying.

I've always thought that it was amazing to compare a great passer like Pirlo to a great passer like Scholes because I feel like Pirlo's passes are rarely on a line.

Paraguayan striker who plays for Benfica. Good player, but he's older, and I wouldn't assume that he'd be the level of striker that City would go after

if that's true, which i'm sure it is...City will want a higher price. Suarez is the jewel of our youth right now

Spanish press say it will be a loan, which means it should be Espanyol or Celta.

Celta, because that´s where yáll got him, Espanyol, as I understand there´s some type of development agreement between Espanyol and Citeh.
