I would take him back in a heartbeat at UT. He was stupid for lying about having a BBQ. Listening to his analysis and commentary on ESPN makes me miss him that much more.

I thought it was pretty ironic that he was praising Craft when he was analyzing the tournament on TV.

Even more interesting for me in all of the hypocrisy talk about ESPN today is that almost every time a coach fricks up (this Mike Rice thing is the exception), Dickie V. and Co. come on and talk about what a great guy the dude is and how everyone should be forgiven. They almost always run cover for their buddies. But, Dick and Bilas in particular were complete a-holes about Pearl. I'm not sure if it's because of what Pearl did to Illinois back in the day, but there was a clear vendetta. I was glad to see ESPN put him in the studio.

Anyway, I think he is a heck of a coach and all but maybe 10 or 15 programs should kill for the guy.

I was hoping Minnesota was making a run for him.

That obviously wasn't the case

You took the words right out of my mouth. I think it's because the show cause is still in effect.

I think he's a solid coach.

Do you still hate Aaron Craft because of this?

He's right at a borderline top 15 coach nationally and would be the clearcut 3rd best coach in the SEC if he was hired.

Right now I would say no. There is almost no chance in hell of Tennessee ever hiring him back anyway, but if Cuonzo manages to not make the NCAA Tourney next year, I would probably change my tune.

Decent chance he'll wind up at Rutgers

ESPN currently working a deal to bring in Mike Rice for the 2013-14 CBB season as an in-studio analyst
