For golfers who ever wondered about reloads

It goes like this ...
Golfer hits $4 ball into lake
Diver pays course 10 cents per ball retrieved
Diver sells for 20 cents per ball (10 cent profit) to processor.
Processor sells ball to retailer for 1 dollar.
Retailer sells it to you for 2 dollar.
Seems to me the diver is doing most of the work and getting the least.

At what point is he forced to go into the pond to retrieve the balls?

This is because the quality of the ball retrieved from the lack could be anywhere between $1-$2

You could say this about a lot of jobs. I don't see the issue here.

Yeah, that's what I read in Golf Mag. It's a combination of desperate need for money and the thrill of finding treasure.
Reminds me of the 70s when people were buying metal detectors to find stuff in the ground.

I know I've pulled up a couple on the edge and just tossed them back in.

GTL, my partners laugh at me because I label my golf balls with a marker, 1..2..3..
One is really good. Two means I might lose it in the woods. Three means I'm going over water. Ain't no divers making money off of my lake balls.

Maybe they lie about how many balls they found.
It wouldn't be the first time somebody lied about golf balls.

Why don't golf courses put nets in lakes and raise them every afternoon. I know the idea is stupid but in this day and age it seems like something to this effect could happen.
Posted on 4/1/13 at 5:51 pm to KingRanch
I'm gonna try. Gonna be in T-town house hunting.

They do something similar in the Lake Travis area, but for deer, and not in the lake.

Treasure?
They're diving into lakes on golf courses for golf balls. If they consider those balls to be treasures, then they are some glass overflowing motherfrickers.
