I did the same thing at first.

Wow, I'm in and being positive and still can't win.

Seriously, I was wrong to think of the bad when the good was being discussed and I have corrected myself. I also must add that my favorite player on the team is actually Ibarra. I like the way he stays even keel with his emotions no matter how good or bad things get with him. He's very mature and reminds me a lot of Blair Barbier.

I actually tried to play off that, so I guess it worked. Ridiculously great duo may have worked even better...

I feel sorry for you. If all you could say to those amazing stats are look at how bad others are, you seriously need to re-evaluate your thought process.

Feel sorry for Jacoby & Ty Ross!

Included in those stats was LSU highest fielding % as well as the fact that teams get a lot more hits off our pitchers than they do other SEC teams (because our guys throw strikes); imo those two stats make a strong argument for their (jones/ross) value to team.

Katz and Bregman

Dean coaching factor this year? Relevant or mere coincidence?

Pretty badass to have the national batting champion return for another season of college ball. Even more badass that your lineup is so strong he isnt even the top hitter on the team.

Rhymes is hitting below .300 in SEC games this year. Really hoping he can pick it up.

Bregman's most surprising thing to me is his base running ability. He's been so smart on the base paths (not running on contact from 3rd like we do way too much) and 9 for 9 on the season in SB is pretty unreal for a guy that doesnt have plus plus speed (maybe plus speed). He has just a knack for when to jump and time it just right.

.235 with only 1 XBH in fact

.327 on the season, man, his "slump" from last year is still in effect

Just wanted to add this link to the PDF version of the SEC's stats release. I like it because it includes the analysis stats like BA against LHP, RHP, RISP, etc.

Katz, Bregman, Bertman and Fiegel.

LSU is 3rd to last in the SEC in being caught stealing. They have only been caught 10 times.

LSU is second to last in Sac Bunts allowed, allowing 13 sac bunts.

LSU is last in errors committed with 21.

and WTF is this:

Intentional BB allowed
1. Mississippi State 2
2. Alabama 5
3. LSU 3
4. Georgia 2
5. Ole Miss 5
6. Kentucky 1
7. Florida 6
8. Arkansas 4
9. Vanderbilt 1
10. Auburn 2
11. Texas A&M 3
12. Missouri 2
13. Tennessee 6
14. South Carolina 2

That is no order at all...

For the series, LSU hit a season low 0.243 (26/107) and struck out a season high 22 times.
