TSM seemed too content to sit back a let the game progress while CLG kept pressing.
That's typically how TSM has beaten CLG in the past. They just weather the storm because CLG's early-game is so strong. TSM would just draw out the game to get to mid- to late-game, and slowly cut into the gold lead. They would wait for CLG to make a mistake and punish them in team fights.

Same for victor in the mid lane. I can understand them wanting to ban tristana, but 2lift is gonna be ok on any adc he plays, just less mobile.
CLG just has too many playmakers. TSM basically just had to pick their poison. DL, Zion, and Pobelter can all carry. Even Aphro makes huge plays, thus the Alistar bans. This team has really come together at the end of the split. Their team fighting and DL's positioning have improved tremendously since last split. They've also learned how to finish off teams when they get their early-game lead, and they've even learned how to come from behind if they don't get off to a fast start (like games 1 and 2 against TIP in the semis). However, one problem I can see them running into is if Xmithie doesn't get his Gragas or Ekko, as those are basically the only two champs he has had much success with this split. CLG is getting hot at exactly the right time.

Xmithie getting Gragas or ekko won't really be an issue considering the new patch has changed the jungle up and I'm sure all teams will be practicing new champs for worlds.

I feel like Liquid, TSM, CLG is a rock, paper, scissors situation.
CLG has good early game, and bad team fighting.
Liquid has ok early game, and ok team fighting.
TSM has bad early game, and good team fighting.
Liquid holds on in early game and beats CLG in team fights b/c they aren't too far behind.

CLG dumpsters TSM early game so TSM doesn't have the gold to team fight.
The issue CLG has had is that they haven't really pressed their advantage versus TSM... or just really threw in team fights. Once they finally fixed how they team fight, TSM's flaws got exposed.
*Yes, I know CLG has done pretty bad versus TSM in the past, but theoretically, they should have been able to press their advantage and win.
