I subscribed to a YouTube channel that has all of the NA/EU LCS replays.
Alliance played Copenhagen Wolves in the Quarterfinals.
Gambit played Roccat in the Quarterfinals.
Fnatic and SK Gaming had byes into the Semifinals.
For a large part of the year, these teams were all inter-changeable at the top of the EU scene.
Winning streaks, losing streaks, etc. But these 6 were the primary contenders.
I kinda liked the Supa Hot Crew also, but they just don't have the playmakers.
Mid-year, Roccat and Gambit were the better teams.
Down the stretch, SK Gaming, Fnatic, and Alliance emerged as the favorites.
It isn't suprising that Roccat beat Gambit. Roccat is a really good team, too. It's just suprising that they beat them 2-0 with virtually the same team comp in both games.
Gambit lost in champ select and in rotations pretty decidedly.

Always feels good to see potential in a team, start pulling for them, and watch them succeed!
Alliance and Fnatic are clear 1/2, and SK and Millenium round out the Top 5.
