yeah, I started jungling in soloQ so I can help shitter lanes not be so shitter

Any tips for a beginner jungler?

The jungle champs I have right now:

Yi
Volibear
Alistar
Nunu
Warwick

Some of those may not be considered "traditional junglers", but I've seen them used before. I will certainly need to buy some better ones, but at the moment I'm just gonna use these guys.

ETA: There was an interesting Tristana jungle guide I saw a while back.

Learn to figure out where the other jungle is. If you can then it makes everything easy. You can counter-jungle him if you know where he is or counter-gank the lane hes gonna gank turning it in your teams favor

Prepare to get raged at if someone on your team loses their lane.

Also, if you think the other team might try and counter jungle you, then ward the entrances to your jungle. That can lead to some very easy kills.

noct and naut are both must-haves.

learn what constitutes a "losing lane" and dont gank into it by yourself (get mid to come); especially bot lane, no matter how much they bitch.

always go for drag after a successful bot gank where both your bot laners survive. make mid come.

always be aware of the creep wave, especially early. just because the enemy is pushed up doesnt mean its necessarily a good gank; built up enemy creeps will waste you and I cant tell you how frustrating it is, as a laner, for your jungler to come and and try to gank in the middle of 20 creeps and get himself killed. wait for the creeps to clear or force a path away from them.
