Ya it's kind of like their guess at what your hidden elo is at. The game is still run by elo and it won't let you get into a promotion match into gold until you get up to 1500 elo. When I was getting gold when I got to the 90's in silver 5 it was giving me 1 point a game.

1 point a game?!?! holy crap. I was in Silver II, got up to ~80 league points, then went on a losing streak and dropped to silver III -_- Got frustrated and haven't played nearly as much ranked.
If I could call mid lux more often, I think I would rise faster. Lux is easily my best champ and I can make some pretty sick plays with her.
