I'm about to take the 10 plunge, I am assuming you did a fresh install vs the upgrade

OK Win10 is not recognizing my HDD, I can't find how to fix it.

I did the upgrade. It takes a long time for me to set everything up how I like it again. Remember that when people recommend a fresh install, their logic is based on the habits of an average user, a scenario in which one has accumulated years of OS clutter. That's the primary and perhaps only drawback of an upgrade; it ports the entire condition of your virtual workspace, be it pristine or decrepit.

In my case, I do have a ton of installed programs and background processes, but I have them because I've chosen to have them. I'd hope you are just as aware of everything you've installed, downloaded, or otherwise permitted to exist within your workspace.
