You don't need all that hardware for streaming anyway. Coyote, was it you who told me your 8350 did a better job than your 6-core Intel in that regard? If it's just core-hungry, you can build a solid streaming box for under $500 + the cost of whatever video card you'd prefer.
Or approach it from a different direction and use ShadowPlay. I would bet some of the GTX 980/970 owners are just using Shadowplay for Twitch streaming. Uses GPU power. It's supposedly less data-efficient than x264 (as far as quality for the bitrate), but it will free up resources for those CPU-hungry games (which are actually some of the popular games to stream).

Yeah, my $150 8320 performed slightly better than this $600 4930K.
