Damn. No time to watch that at the moment. What's the average stock voltage of the 290x? If it ain't overclock friendly because of voltage ceilings, that's a deal breaker.
EDIT: I just realized it's still using the 8-pin + 6-pin connection, so 300W is the max TDP. I would've expected two 8-pins this time around for a flagship card. Water coolers would've been able to pull ridiculous amounts of power from it. Not impressed. This is just a cheaper option for what's already out there. Sadly, it's what I was expecting subconsciously. I'll go ahead and say that Maxwell will be incremental and expensive as well, regardless of new architecture and technology that's still too young to translate to raw performance.

Yep...
8pin = 150w
6pin = 75w
MOBO = 75w (Normally)
300w hardware limitation.
Damn Titans have the same handycap. You can always push more by overclocking the PCI bus.
EDT:
Fixed it for Linus and yourself Bruce.

When overclocked, the 780, 780Ti and Titan are consistently faster.

The Titan needs to be $700. The 780 needs to be $550 or lower now.
Titan can't drop that low.. not with those 24modules of 30nm Samsung on front and back. It is honestly an $849 card.
IMO This is how it should lay out.
Titan - $849
780Ti - $649
780 - $549 <--This needs to happen the most.
Then DROP THE PRICES OF THOSE DAMN GK104 Little Kepler GPUs!!!!!
