Gods of the Master Race,

I am about to start constructing a gaming rig. I have lurked this thread for a while and honestly have no idea what you folks are talking about half of the time. With that said,I will be buying parts and assembling my own PC which will run windows 7. I am looking for help from you guys on part selection.

My budget is relatively loose, but I am hoping to get all the parts I need for the tower and monitor (not keyboard, mouse, or OS) for around $1300.

I would really like to be able to play all the current games at maximum settings. This goal of this build is for when Battlefield 4 releases, but I don't believe those specs are available yet.

Whatcha got?

eta: I was looking at maybe putting the AMD FX-8350 with the MSI GeForce GTX 770. Do you guys think that could handle the games?

Your budget should be fine for this if you are going to play at 1080p. If you want 1440p maxed out it might be a bit of a stretch.

I'd advise you to start your own thread, as it will get more traffic and we try to keep this one free of those types of builds, as it would clutter up the thread (it also looks awesome to have a lot of PC gamer threads on the board )
having said that - what size monitor are you looking for and can we assume you just want a standard 1080p one ?
eta: question 2 - do you have a specific case or style of case in mind? aka flashy, small, silent etc

that budget will be fine for ultra settings at 1080p and you'll probably have some wiggle room in the budget for more storage, cosmetics, or ram. please make another thread with listing intended use, parts needed, future plans, things you would value most(graphics vs cosmetics vs processing etc), and budget. we can guide you from there.
