I will probably pick up a GTX 770 for "testing" and kicks.. but the 780 is supposed to be a toned down Titan "GK110".. soo my Titans are safe on top of the GPU world until 2014 Maxwell.
For those looking to upgrade.. the 770s are refreshed 680s at a CHEAPER PROPOSED PRICE POINT.. lol Might want to look into it.

They've been needing to do this. The 680 is overpriced as it is right now since the 7970 can be had for $360.
