I'm not going to do it until I can get the 7970 I want, new, at a reasonable price. Will have to wait until the bitcoin frenzy dies back down.

Also, I already have 2 of the 3 free games that are shipping with AMD cards.


Not to mention, I'm running a 1000w PSU, and it's powering a very overclocked 2600k, a very overclocked 7970, 5 gentle typhoons and 5 coolermaster LED fans, D5 Vario water pump, 4 sticks of ram, 2 WD blacks, an SSD, and a blu-ray drive. Accounting for capacitor aging, it's really pushing it.

So far I have taken my 7870 from 1050 to 1150 core clock and been stable on valley. I also messed with the settings of my gpu fan for the first time and took my valley temp from 65(pre OC) to 58(post OC. From what I have read on overclock.net 1200 is prob as far as I will get a 7870 before I have to adjust voltage.
