I have been watching these lately on reelz and I am about to order the entire series

Today was two classics
John Ritter gets into a fight with gene siskel

And hank's lookaround cafe grand opening

The Ritter episode was kind of sad - Ritter, siskel and warren zevon were the principals. It was hilarious but hard to watch considering Ritter dropped dead of a heart attack, siskel and zevon both died of cancer

Hank's lookaround cafe had mull, Burt Reynolds and Seinfeld filling in as guest hosts. There was a scene of Larry looking at the Playboy with nudes of his real life GF (and costar) Linda Doucett

Rip Torn is easily one of the most under rated comic actors of all time

Anyone else a Larry Sanders fan?

I think most people are. I don't think I ever see negative comments.

I run through the whole series about once a year.

There are a couple episodes I don't like but almost every episode is gold.

I hate the one where he has to piss the whole show.

I don't think anyone has ever said anything bad about the show either

Very cutting edge show, no laugh track, great writing, a ton of improv acting. I don't know who owes whom Gary Shandling or Larry David. But you don't have one without the other

The Gary Shandling show on fox was great too. He set the stage for Seinfeld and David who set the stage for Louis CK's stuff on HBO and FX

Top 3 favorite show ever. Hank is my favorite character. So emasculated.

Great Show. I think it was a little ahead of it's time.

Has been taken off Netflix. Everybody mourn with sadness. I tried to find it last night. No luck.

That sucks. One of the few HBO shows allowed out of the HBO network.

I need to watch this damn show. I've heard nothing but great things, and there are plenty of people whose work I enjoy that were involved with it.

If they'd allow it on regular TV today, it'd be as big a hit as Seinfeld. In fact, frick that. If it was on TV period. At least as big as Curb- but thats more niche than anything.

Oh, I need to rethink that. Hard to beat Larry David in Curb. Think I'm going to back away from that statement. I misspoke.

It was almost as good as any drama. It's almost as funny as any comedy. It has no laugh track and is not afraid to shite on the same industry it's own cast and crew is a part of.

So far ahead of its time. I think Louie is the obvious heir apparent.
