Have an idea for a poll. Gonna divide states up by region and still try to keep the competion per region close. Cast a vote numbering each state in that region 1 being the best through however many states are there. Voting will close each Monday @ midnight.

Southeast Region
LA, Ms, Al, Fl, Arky, Ga, SC, NC

Northeast
Virginia, WV, Vermont, Penn, Maine, Ny, Maryland, NJ, Del

Northern
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, N Dakota and S Dakota

Midwest
Kentucky, Missouri Tennessee Illinois Iowa Indiana Ohio

Plains
Texas Kansas Nebraska

West
Colorado Wyoming Montana New Mexico Arizona Cali Oregon Washington Utah Nevada and Idaho

Sound good to y'all?

I put Tx there because its comparative to there. In southeast or west it would probably runaway with it

How? Totally different terrain, food source, etc. they're nothing like each other. Other than both have big deer.

Texas is totally different than Kansas and Nebraska too.

I'd put it in the west region....

Some people want big horns. Others want big bodies. Some may rate a state higher due to deer population. All these can be taken into account when making a ranking

Good idea for a poll. Even though i've only hunted in a few, i'll give my perception of said states.

Southeast Region (i know nothing about any of these except for LA and AR)
LA - 2, Ms - 1, Al - 6, Fl - 5, Arky - 4, Ga - 3,
SC - 7, NC - 8

Northeast
Virginia - 2 , WV - 4, Vermont -3, Penn - 6, Maine - 8, Ny- 9, Maryland - 5, NJ - 1 , Del - 7

Northern
Michigan -5, Wisconsin -1, Minnesota -4, N Dakota -2 and S Dakota -3

Midwest
Kentucky-5, Missouri -6, Tennessee-7, Illinois-2, Iowa -1, Indiana-4, Ohio -3

Plains
Texas-1, Kansas-2, Nebraska-3

West
Colorado-2, Wyoming-3, Montana-1, New Mexico-6, Arizona Cali-5, Oregon-9, Washington-8, Utah-7, Nevada-10 and Idaho-4

Southeast is the toughest to me...no state just stands out above the rest.

Southeast Region
LA - 1

Northeast
WV - 1

Plains
Texas-1

These are the only ones i've hunted, so the rest is a wash. WV seems to have a shite load of deer like the Texas hill country.

FIFY. Good deer hunting is something we do have. Although I'd trade you our deer for y'all's duck hunting in a heartbeat. With that being said I've seen a lot of pics of stud deer coming from La. too.
