I am glad they clowned him. The non- reaction from Greg Anthony was good.

But I didn't get why Gumbel and Kenny looked to their sides.

I tend to believe such sensitivity to lighthearted racial jokes is more divisive than allowing them to be acceptable. I mean, acknowledging obvious racial situations is killing the elephant in the room so that everyone can breathe.

I'm no fan of Gottlieb, but the way they treated him was pretty immature. JMO.
