But I'd be okay with trading Ingram for Megatron.
Only way i am happy with that trade is if the Lions gives us there 1st & 3rd too.

I think people are really discounting Watson.
I loved that pickup. But i wonder how often he will see the field. If Graham's healthy, they'll have to physically yank him off the field. Maybe some formations with Jimmy in the slot and Watson lined up as traditional TE.

So you're ok with that receiving group?
Welker just got 6 mil a year. better in YAC than Moore but his drops cost them trips to Super Bowl. I'll take Lance.
Colston is a rock. Not flashy or a punkass head case. And a fact that he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Grambo often lines up as a wideout. If you did not notice he is a monster in the NFL.
Morgan in limited playing time
9 recp 371 yards 28.5 ypc 3 TD's
Fayson Hakim and Givens are all young and fast and need experience.
While you can always upgrade a position I put that priority just below waterboy in need.

Watson will see the field a lot.

Back to the WR's (for Chad).
I am anxiously waiting for Toon. I think it shakes out like this:
x - Colston, Toon
y - Morgan, Givens
z - Moor, Tanner
Wildcard - resigning Devery.

I stopped reading after this asinine and inaccurate statement.

How do you guys feel about our offensive tackles?

connected to Brees, our WR corp is excellent. no need to change.

Should have kept reading. I like guys that get you to the super bowl not cost you a trip.

That's a weak group.
Look at the teams with QBs similar to Brees and their receiving groups.
Brady? lol
Rodgers? He just lost Jennings
Stafford? after Megatron it's pretty thin.
Manning? Probably the best group but still lacking a BIG threat receiver
We are in pretty good shape comparatively.

Asinine is calling our WR's weak.

you're really going to make that kind of judgement all based on one singular play by Welker? How about all the crucial fumbles throughout colston's career?

I'd say Thomas is a pretty big threat. Denver with Thomas, Decker and Welker is a nasty trio.
For us, I wouldn't mind a receiver pick up at some point in the draft at all, but it's not a major need.
Colston
Moore
Morgan
Toon
And I think Tanner, with that work ethic and high motor would be a good addition also. He's a class act too.
Then the receiving threats of Graham, Sproles, Watson, and Pierre in the screen game.
Definitely not short on weapons.

yeah, he is, but only mostly because of Manning.

Ill give you NE is weak at receiver.
But the Packers are stronger with just Nelson, Jones, and Cobb. And who said they weren't replacing Jennings. Its not like they just let him walk.
And the Broncos are sick with Thomas, Decker, and now Welker. And im not sure what your talking about with them not having a big play receiver. Just pulled this from Thomas' wiki page: Thomas is known for his physical style of play and run after catch ability. He was 2nd in the NFL for catches over 20+ yards and 5th in yards after catch in 2012

Yeah, I kinda recanted above.
Thomas is a big threat receiver with the right QB.
He didn't do much until Manning showed up.

Brady has never had a set of "very good" wide receivers.
He blessed with Gronk and Hernandez to compensate now.
In the past it's been players like Kevin Faulk and Woodhead to help carry the burden.
I'm sure he'll manage just fine putting up the stats again this season but it won't be because of his depth at WR.
Posted on 3/28/13 at 10:15 am to Hugo Stiglitz
I wouldnt say hes never had that but i get and agree with your point
I still think the Pats make a play for a guy either in the draft or trade (or Sanders) so that its not 06 all over again

Brady, Manning, Brees and Rodgers can make receivers. They have receiver factories.
