I get that he plays a lot of minutes. Everyone blows up the PER stat because Lillards isn't that great and Davis is awesome. If we're going strictly off PER, Drummond is better than AD. So is Andre Blatche and Javal McGhee. Brandon Wright is right behind AD in per stat. It's a good way to evaluate a player that plays minor minutes, but it has its flaws. I mean Patrick Beverly is the 16th rated PG in the game, and I've never heard of him. He averages 5 points 3 assists and 2 Rebs a game. Yea, he's a legit PG. It takes what a player does in certain minutes, and calculates what they would put up if they played at that rate for the entire game. It's an estimate and not a realistic number. People need to find a diff way to knock on Lillard by using something other than his minutes and his PER. His real #s are 19 and 7 as a rookie and has gotten better and more efficient each month. I look at the game stats, which is what the player actually does, not an estimate . Lillards game stas are really really good. And just a rookie. His efficiency rate will go up. Vazquez isn't putting up what Lillard is.
How many average point guards put up 19 and 7? And as a rookie? Not that many. Just because he doesn't have a great PER in his rookie season doesn't mean he won't be a great player. I'm sure Westbrook has had some seasons early on where his PER wasn't that great. Same for Steph Curry and John Wall. But they are legit top 15 NBA PGs.

Ok
Lillard is 25th in PER among PGs who average more than 25 MPG
He's a compiler just like GV. When your Per 36 is lower than your actual numbers, then you may have a problem
