JMO, but the guy was a pretty sure tackler while at LSU. I don't think teams are gonna draft or not draft him based on whether he could improve his 225 bench from 4 reps to 6-8 reps. 3rd or 4th rounder IMO...just hope he goes to a team that I actually like watching.

Oh I agree, he plays much stronger than 4 reps, and I don't think it will matter too much either way with regard to where he goes in the draft.

I just figured with that being the only negative from the combine he would give it another go.

I'm sure a pro team would drool over any guy that can double his bench performance from the combine in just a few short weeks. That kind of training / dedication should shoot him up to the top of the draft board...

I thought Moffet "made" these guys gorillas in the weight room. What gives here?

I'm sure it's already been posted/discussed, but Minter improved his 40 time from 4.81 at the combine to 4.67 today. That's a huge gain!

I was flabbergasted by that time! He is way better than Teo. I think KM and Jarvis Jones take the top LB picks...

they don't do a lot of barbell bench pressing. Waste of time for football players or athletes in general

Did TM7 run the 40 at all? Didn't see him listed in the OP.

Another player who sucked at bench press?

Warren Sapp.

Nuff said.

I hear the Ravens are giving Minter a hard look to replace Lewis. Big shoes to fill if that happens...

ATH R. Shepard 4.51
Wasnt Shep a 4.3 guy when he arrived at LSU?

Shep probably did run a 4.3 coming out of high school but if you recall, he was skinny as a rail. I feared he might be torn in half on his TD scramble out of the wildcat freshman year. Hope he latches on as a Courtney Robey-type special teamer in the NFL.

Guys I don't think RS or Simon will show in the NFL. They may get drafted but their celing has been reached. Just my prediction based off production at LSU and combine/pro day results.

I just don't think Shepard is a master of any one position that would enable him to make an NFL roster. I mean he couldn't crack the starting lineup at LSU as a WR. He's too small to play RB in the NFL. And he wasn't good enough to be a return man at LSU. So what will he be in the NFL exactly? I hope he can pull it off but I'm not sure what he offers to an NFL team.

Simon will get drafted and make a roster. Too much size and God given ability not to at least make a roster.
