He needs to stick to encouraging callers to make fools of themselves.

I agree. This commentary coming from a guy who reads off a prewritten script all show long (and so do the callers). Douche bags call in and read from a story they wrote about how much ownage they will put on previous caller.

I got caught up listening to some of that crap the other day.

Still mind Rome less that herd.

can't stand Rome and his California speak show. Put HIM on the rack!

he knows nothing about soccer. US picking up a point there is excellent.

I'd agree that the US should expect more but still be realistic. Given the circumstances a point was incredibly nice.

8 people injured. Mostly starters. New defensive backline. Hostile crowd. Historic point. WE HAVE 2 !

So if I just act like a complete a-hole and spout off bullshite I know nothing about I'll get a radio or tv show? Well frick me I wasted the last four years of my life in college.

He must be the most uninformed frick ever.

Sadly I find more of this than anything else. Rome, Bayless, Cowherd, etc. all contrarian and/or hyperbolic blowhards. Dan Patrick to me is the one who is best at keeping a calm honest opinion of something

Yeah... He's not.

He's also (like Howard Stern) capable of getting great guests and delivering great interviews.

I don't agree with all of his opinions, but I also don't listen to talk shows just for confirmation of my mores and beliefs.

He doesn't "get" soccer. IDGAF.

Rome is still around?! He popped up on Superbowl Sunday but I didn't realize he still had his radio show...he should of hung it up years ago IMO
I think I listened to him for like a week and got tired of the "lingo" and him trying to be a bad arse...

Then he shouldn't talk about and be so critical. If you say something like we're stupid for being happy about a tie than you better qualify it by saying "I don't know anything about soccer or the qualifying process so I could be wrong." He could have said that too I'm not sure

This. He's entertaining. Not if you get mad at him the whole time, I guess.

If you don't like soccer, don't talk about it. Honestly, no one is forcing you to talk about the game.

I personally don't like baseball that much. Do I take to Twitter and baseball message boards to bash the sport? Nope.

Don't understand why sports media folks feel the need to talk about something they don't care about. Paranoid that the sport is growing, I guess.

He knows that Soccer fans are naturally defensive, as the relative low man on the totem pole.

We all know the US only needed to get a point to maintain our advantage in our bracket.

He's just trolling Soccer Fan.
