people keep wanting to move one of our best bats and slowest runners into the 2 hole

Because he handles the bat well. He can go the other way. He hits lots of singles. He can move a runner along. He can hit and run.

What does speed have anything to do with hitting in the 2 hole?

ETA: I don't think he will move to the two hole. I am just saying those are pretty typical characteristics of a 2 hole hitter. He doesn't really have many characteristics of a 4 hole hitter.

Doesn't put up the power numbers of a traditional clean-up, and I agree that he has ideal characteristics of a 2 hole hitter. If I new it wouldn't be an automatic bunt every time he had a runner on base, I would love to see him in the 2 hole.
