no it still needs electricity to generate a spark.

THOUGH A diesel engine does not.

A diesel engine should be able to work. Though they are hard to start. So if you had one and push started it every time then it would work. A diesel needs a lot of battery power to start (some are 24v systems) but almost none to run.

An early diesel would work fine even in an EMP.

Most diesel pick ups have two batteries in them, a large diesel truck usually carries 4. A 60s Mercedes diesel might do the trick though.

Though the David Gilmour looking chick was interesting to look at, I bailed on this show after the first couple of episodes. Surprised it was renewed when Alcatraz and The Event were not. Did they ever explain how "electricity doesn't work" so a non-retard can understand it?

Where do you plan on getting diesel 15 years after the last electricity?
