Why is everyone so big on Ansah? I'll admit I didn't watch a lot of him this year, but I wasn't that impressed. He didn't do much in the senior bowl game and didn't get good reviews during practice.

Would like the guy in a 4-3 as a end but hell no as a 3-4 anything for the Saints.

We can get what we need at OT in the third and be just fine. Don't wanta waist an early pick like we have on a OT. Everybody we put over there does great anyway because of Drews quick release and our interior line. Drafting an OT in the first would be a waste.

Interesting theory, I just feel like if a cornerstone LT is there to be had at 15, would clearly be BPA and I'm sure Drew would rather have that comfort than somebody lesser than bushrod (who got boss'd around all day anyways)

Hell we could probably snatch somebody like Faulk in the 3rd round and still have an elite 1st round pass rusher. People tend to forget we drafted Bushrod in the 4th round.

Yeah I know we have found some gems on the OL in later rounds, but I never once thought bushrod was anything above average and we are talking LT here...

I'm curious how many people have actually watched Eric fisher play. I'm betting the majority of these "big boards" are simply based on what people have seen from the pre draft mocks

Not to pick on fisher exclusively. I mean most players. He just came to mind bc he pretty much came out of nowhere to be a top 5 pick

He was considered a late first rounder going into last season, and a top 15 pick after the season. Had extremely good workouts that have vaulted him up to top 5 status, but it wasn't like he came out of nowhere really. Lot of eyes have been on him for awhile

I'm going out on a limb and say one of them will definitely will be there @ 15.

yeah, I didn't see him play one down this year. Didn't even know who he was until the Senior Bowl. But Mike Mayock says he's good so it must be true, right?

I did see players like Floyd, Jones, Ogletree, Milliner, and yes even Mingo(dude is so popular on this board) wonder why?

wish I had the chance to see Lotulelei more myself.

and everytime I saw Texas A&M play this year it was just all about Johnny fricking Football. I missed the Joeckel kid, must be pretty good though.

15 Bjoern Werner

For some reason, I have the feeling Werner is waaaay higher on the Saints Board than we all think. They probably think he fits the Kruger mold and have already fallen in love with him.

I remember when Saints Talk was pounding the table for Weatherspoon, Dan Williams, Jerry Hughes, or Daryl Washington. After the draft, the word leaks out that the Saints had been in a tizzy over who to pick out between DT Brian Price & CB Patrick Robinson, two guys off our "most-wanted" radar. (FYI, Brian Price is on his 3rd team)

Considering the Saints scouts penchant for mis-evaluating defensive players (just as bad as we at ST are), I wouldn't doubt Werner is the outright pick at 15 with a couple of OUR "most-wanted" still on the board.
