I'm going to Gautreau's for the first time tomorrow night with some family members. I wanted to hear the opinion of the F&D veterans on the menu. Does the menu changes partially or completely every day? What are some of the best items on the menu? Thanks in advance!

I do love sweetbreads. Are they always on the menu or is it a seasonal menu item?

Sue is a master with fish dishes.
I enjoyed the scallops last time I went.

Any suggestions from the evening crowd?

I'm telling you. The menu is on the small side and changes often. They are great with fish dishes, but bad with nothing.

That's what I was trying to figure out, whether or not the menu changes often or not. Any recs on desserts?

Order the soup of the day. It's about the only place for which I'll ever suggest this, but her soups are always sublime.
