First two acts were great, but the third act was just terrible. Bond goes home and finds that he only has two shotguns and some Kevin McCalister traps to protect the head of MI6 from a team of mercenaries? He decides to stick with that plan?
The final scene was badass though. Order restored at Universal Exports.

I don't get the hate in this board for the gay joke in Skyfall. Bond is just comfortable in his sexuality and sounded like a badass the line wasn't meant as an insinuation that he was gay.
I am glad they are getting a new M but Dench did just fine and finally got enough screen time.
Bond's dad's gun was a double rifle not a double-barrel shotgun. I inherited one like it from my gramps.

Never had a problem with Dench.
However, I did have a problem with this film's incessant stealing from other films that did it better (Inception, TDK, Home Alone...)

The only problem I had with the story is the whole bad guy in jail with a plan that has been so played out.
Skyfall had the best villian in a long long time I just wish they did a little more with him.
