Second career start:
0-0, 1.80 ERA, 5.0 IP, 1 BB, 2 SO

He will be opposing:
LHP Cody Butler (1-1, 9.19 ERA, 15.2 IP, 11 BB, 12 SO

I assume we will see Chinea or Edward DH tonight, but someone was wanting to see Foster in the lineup against LHP - this would be the perfect time to get him in the lineup for a full game.

How many bombs do we drop against this stout 9.19 ERA?? O/U @ 1.5

Mainieri has already announced Foster is starting in right field tonight.

Can't hurt to give him a shot after a solid pinch hit the other day. Did he say who will be in center?

Uh oh. I see a spinoff thread about how Shepard was misused because he could have been a dominant pitcher because of his play as a QB in high school.

under, he doesn't seem to be around the plate enough to get a solid hit.

He said he's still debating that.

Foster will at least give us a decent arm in the outfield.....finally.

No. The kid just isn't very good. I hope we stop using him at DH against LHP.

Haven't you heard, LSU can't hit bad pitching. With this guy's line, he might no-hit us tonight.

Edward is a pinch hitter, nothing more IMO. He has come through in key situations when asked to pinch hit through out his career. But as a starter,

Hope Reynolds has a good night. . . against LHP that walks a lot of people and doesn't strike many out? I smell blood!

I agree, and think he's a valuable part of the team in that role.

On Reynolds, are going to start stretching him out or going Johnny Wholestaff again?

Mainieri said he hopes to stretch him out depending on how effective he is.
