Kentucky has a national title in 5 different decades.

UCLA has 10 years 40 years ago and a title in 1995.

What does that have to do with anything in this debate? Kentucky had a streak where they made final game 3 straight years (and won two titles) within the last 20 years.

The argument for UCLA is their insane run with Wooden and it is hard for me to argue with them as the best program. I think Kentucky is second. You could make an argument for them using "over time" but UCLA's run was too incredible.

I'd go with Kentucky mainly because almost all of UCLA's "program value" comes from the Wooden Era. He won 10 titles in 12 years. In the other 80 years or so, UCLA has 1 title. I think having lots of success under multiple coaches is a must for Best Program Ever. In the 30 years since Wooden retired, UCLA has been in four Final Fours and has one title. Still very good, but not Kentucky.

i wish ucla wouldnt have been so dominant with wooden because they frick up every best program ever talk in CBB. i wanna put kentucky, kansas, and unc over them with ease every single time but i cant because of the john wooden era. duke is sorta the opposite of ucla so that's annoying as well.
