Granger is trade bait and has been all season. A swap for Gordon is good value for valu

29 and bad knees << 23 and bad knee would be dumb it would put us behind the 8 ball even further

quote:

Google Anderson for Gasol and there will be about 100 links, cause that was one of the hottest rumors at the deadline.

Even if it is Gasol is 32, his production and body is declining << Anderson 24 best scorer for the Hornets, and can stretch the floor better than anyone at his position

quote:

My idea is to get Roberts and Miller time as primary back-ups

Roberts is 27 and is unfortunately a mediocre backup PG, Miller love the guy but he's just flat out not an NBA caliber player he does not excel at anything and is mediocre at everything

not trying to rain on your parade but I want to see the Pelicans invest in young talent not trade it away...Pau is a decent player right now, 3 years ago I'd love him, Granger give him to me 3 years ago

see my thoughts are you get Pau Gasol, Granger, Davis, EG, and a PG now you have 3 guys who are injury risks and your paying big money to all of them and they are old what will you do in lets say 3 years when they are gone? AD 3 years down the road has developed into what we think he will be so you bank on bringing in more FA's during the offseason? We are a small market team and we cannot rely on FA's to come here even with AD

get me young guys, get players from the draft and watch lets say Porter, Davis, Rivers, Gordon, and Anderson grow together and sprinkle in one or two FA's which is a little more likely maybe a trade but as a small market team you can't rely (not saying it doesnt happen) but you cannot rely on FA's and trades

Why does he have to? Because an article said he has to?

BTW Drake, I think I've sold myself on the Oladipo pain train as my number 1 guy, if he's available for us.

I'd trade Vasquez and Anderson for P. Gasol. Gasol is also an expiring contract and solves the Center position.
respect lost. gasol is a pf. thats where he impacted the most. no thanks to paying 20mil to him for 13&8. hell, i like lopez for 15mil cheeper and get the same results. that a troll?!

When Gasol came into the league he was a PF/C tweener with a developing offensive game. But he was a hustler and a good defensive player, much like Davis. Everybody points to the Spurs as our model. Well the Spurs had Robinson to show Duncan the way. It could be something similar with Davis and Gasol.

That was happenstance. Also, Timmy didn't need anything in the mental arena from the admiral.

Flip that. Gasol was the Center on two NBA championship teams (recently), with Bynum backing him up. He is a career 20/10 guy and given starter minutes would be again. The contract is expiring, which is a huge deal. That's 20 million to spend in a great 2014 free agent market, plus they would still have Lopez.

yea but there are better/cheaper mentors that actually play center out there...Gasol is technically a PF a little to soft to be a C

My ideal, dream offseason....

EG for Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes

Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez for Demarcus Cousins

(make the salaries work but keep the gist of the deals)

Smart/Vasquez
Thompson/Rivers
Barnes/Aminu
AD/Smith
Cousins/ Free Agent

Playoffs. Young core with immediately the best front court in the league.

I just don't think Davis is ready or capable of playing Center full time. If he is and it happens, then that's awesome, keep Anderson. Otherwise, I think, they need to move on from that arrangement.

Let's Do It!

...Power Forwards that shoot and make a lot of 3s are nice assets. I don't know why people want to get rid of Anderson. Great contract, young, solid player. The Lakers and a lot of other teams would love to have him. We should too.

4 PFs shot 200+ threes at 37% or better last season:

Ryan Anderson
Dirk Nowitzki
Kevin Love
Matt Bonner

EG's value is nowhere near this. I remember hearing rumors about EG for Klay straight up, but his value has plummeted since then.

Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez for Demarcus Cousins

Do not want! Head case and we do not have the locker room to suffer him i.e. a Boston. We just aren't there yet.

Smart and Oladipo were guys that I really didn't like but are growing on me....Victor has to be able to play SF for it to work out in my scenario though.

...looking forward to watching these guys in the tournament.

The Warriors are struggling. They need a creator and neither of those are while Gordon has the potential to be. Throw in Vasquez if you have too... And Cousins is worth the risk. Hope Monty can get him in line and he has the potential to be the best center in the league

Really? The warriors are struggling to score points? No, they need to learn to play some defense.

Yea, lets make the trade and then pray for change. Leave the Hail Mary's to the football field.

Yea Smart's defense is what did it for me. Seems like he could just bull most pg.s, defensively.

Since when is Gordon only a scorer? He's a great defender as well but that's not my point. They don't have someone who can create their own shot which Gordon can undoubtedly do. And Cousins still plays well on the court despite his antics

Gasol is a very skilled player, but he has been called soft....He's not the guy I would want as Davis' mentor anyway.

In twelve seasons, Gasol has put up 10+ RPG three times...2+ BPG twice.

In fourteen seasons, Robinson put up 10+ RPG nine times...2+ BPG eleven times.

True. However,he would not fix there defensive woes by himself. My point was that the reason the Warriors are struggling isn't because they need a creator on offense, which is what you said. Its because of atrocious team defense.

Also, I think JJ and Steph Curry would like to talk with you as far as your creator concerns. Its the best thing Curry has added to his game this year, he's consistently been breaking defenders down and getting his own shot.

Also, did I once question Cousin's abilities, on the court?
