Earthquake hands strike again!

I have rented a bunch of stuff from Autozone, mainly because it is free. Just have to put down a deposit.

Scariest thing to rent is a strut compressor. I had the 500lb spring on my old truck go flying when I broke one of the arms, and it put a hole in my dad's wall. Only thing I could think was "Whoa"

It's a mega pain in the arse. It's probably sticking from the heat and it not bein removed in a while. Keep wigglin it. And maybe skeet it with some penetrating erl.

Tried kroil, tiny little screwdrivers, patience, etc

Now it's personal. Nothing but full blown anger. The set screws aren't even there anymore. It's just being held on by pure fricking evil.

I can, but it doesn't go anywhere.

It will not release. I'm considering attacking the dash with the sawsall.

It is probably glued up in there. I thought they just clipped in, but what do I know.

Does anything move when you jiggle it? Maybe a picture would help

Yea it wiggles but there's something in the front holding it down. Can't feel or see whatever has it. I'm not fooling with it anymore. I just plugged the shite back up and it's going to the shop tomorrow.

It's been taken out before because it has a hypertech chip. No telling what they did putting it back in. Everything on this truck that has been worked on previously has been a MASSIVE pita to work on again. Changing shocks took a half a day. Pretty much everything has been force-fitted. It's been a terrible vehicle to work on.
