Really underrated show.
It is highly entertaining and only gets better.

I'm only about 4 episodes in. Please tell me that the dad becomes more likeable, because right now, I truly hate him.

I have watched Shameless from the beginning and have yet to tire of it. The show has so many characters that present a ton of different story lines to follow and invest yourself in.
I agree with the above poster that it is extremely underrated.

Yeah, don't get your hopes up. He is the general antagonist of every episode. His role is necessary.

Ah okay. I had the impression that he was the show's protagonist.
If that was true, I was going to stop watching.

No, it really is Fiona and the other children as a whole. Of course they each develop their own problems and issues in conjunction with the overarching Frank/poverty problems that tie them all together.

I think the past few episodes have been some of the best. I can't remember if it's on season 2 or 3.
The shite they get into is ridiculous, very entertaining.

Fiona is the protagonist. I love Franks character though.

Has anyone seen the British version? How do the 2 compare?
Posted on 3/18/13 at 12:42 pm to EarthwormJim
I only saw the pilot of the British version and I like William H as Frank 100x better than the British version. I didn't stick around long enough to see how the rest of the show panned out.

Frank is a huge piece of shite but I can't help but laugh at the stuff he pulls.

It's worth it just to see Emmy Rossum get naked every 3rd episode!

One of the most fun shows to watch on television. You will laugh constantly, and it is surprisingly well written.
Are you watching the American version or UK version?

I watched the first season of the British version, and it was hard to get that far.
I honestly had to turn on subtitles because I couldn't understand every other word that was said, plus they speak in slang words that I guess only the British use, so it made things kind of hard to follow.
But if you thought there was a good bit of nudity in the American version, there seemed to be a good bit more in the British version.
That's my 2cents
Overall, I think the American version is a better show, but it is probably because the characters are more well known to me, and I understand the dialog

The things he does get worse but that's what I find entertaining about him.

Pretty much agree with everyone in this thread. Very entertaining show and I have not got bored with it yet. Nudity is also a plus. Not a show I'm on the edge of my seat watching but still a lot of WTF moments. Like last nights episode
