Used bay boat: What could I get with a budget of $25k-$30k

Would be used to run to last island/lower terrebonne as well as redfishing the marsh (note necessarily in 6" water, just in lakes, etc...).
Would like something 4-5 years old or newer in the 21'-22' range, 175+hp, four stroke maybe.
Would this be in that price range or shooting too high?

Anything you get in that price range should be solid.

You will find some badass boats in great condition for that. People are puking them up.

Just go to the classified section on louisianasportsman.com. select boats, then center console on the drop-down. Plenty to choose from.

Like someone said, get ready to see a lot of nice boats.

21' = 225hp
22' = 250hp
24' = 300hp
whatever you buy... make sure the above is met. with that budget, worst thing you could do is buy an underpowered rig

Here's a good example for you....this is my current boat, I toy with the idea of selling to get a bigger boat...$30K would be my lowest number. I think it's reasonable, the boat honestly is in near perfect condition. Been washed/waxed with Orpine every time its taken out the water. Slept with its cover on EVERY TIME even when it's in our shop parked during deer season. Serviced regularly by the Yamaha dealer. The reason I'm telling you all this is so you can see what you SHOULD be able to get for $30K- IMO it needs to be PERFECT. When I was looking at some used ones before I bought new, there was a lotta blue sky out there- boats were in not great shape for $20K 5 years ago.

Starting to pick up momentum, after re-reading this thread I think I'm looking for a boat that "runs on a pad", not a heavy boat that can eat up rough water.
Other than shearwater, what are some other examples of this type of boat?
