Because the rest of the SEC took a step backward, don't do the same with this LSU team. They completely SUCKED last year and to compare this team to that one is a disservice to JJ and the rest of the coaching staff and players. I'm an LSU fan and because they didn't finish #1 does not make it a bad season. Wake up if your a TRUE Tiger fan and quit whining because they didn't run away with the league championship.

Seriously? Lsu can hang with any team in this bracket!

This is terrible for CJJ's first year! What a sham!!!

Thought we were a lock until Ole Mrs. game but SEC getting hosed in NCAA sealed our fate.

That's the 2 sides of the coin.

LSU would love to play more ball, but UT got left out the big dance and really, the NIT is for teams like LSU (as far as want to be there).

This sums it up pretty well. Auto bids are screwing up both tourneys now!

Don't know how we'd beat juggernauts like Clemson, Va Tech, Boston College, Ga Tech, and Wake Forest.

The SEC didn't get hosed, they just suck, we knew this all season long

Agreed, but I think UT was deserving and of course, if Noel doesn't go down Ky is in as well.

It's interesting how the BCS can limit a conference with BCS bowls, but that's not the case with the NCAA tourney. Why regulate in one sport, but not another? If you are better at something, you are better at something!

Yeah it was only getting three from SEC in NCAA tournament. That left three SEC teams ahead of us to go into the NIT and they weren't going to put four of us in there.

I know, I'm just bitter. Not b/c i think Tenn deserved to get in, but b/c they pulled the same shite as last year with the slow start/trying to play catch-up crap. Anytime you get a chance to play extra games though, it's a good thing, especially when you have a bunch of guys coming back the next year. I thought LSU was deserving, but the way things are now, mid-majors are getting a lot of love. As a conference, we all really need to step up our game next year before conference play starts. We're scheduling weak and losing weak...hence the lack of post season participation.

You have to finish in the top half of the conference, hit the magical 20 win number, and have a conference that doesn't suck. 1 out of 3 is not good enough. 2 maybe. We had the same conference record as Georgia who had a losing overall record. We needed the Ole Miss game and 1 other regular season win. We lost to Georgia and SC, both teams that finished at or below us in conference play. The performance against Florida in the tourney did not help at all.
