He's been solid in a backup role. He's a good player who's still young. Hasn't hit his peak yet.

you must have already tried to tell people about Butler? I must have missed that thread.

Too many heads up Dumervills arse and wanting nudes to realize how good Butler would be for us. Dah well.

I think there was a service back in the mid 90s where a guy would email you nudes for 99 cents a piece.

Yeah. I got the first one and I'm like "Dicks? Really?" 50 picks and I had enough of dicks.

Good sign, not remembering any FA yet who signed with a team that he visited, left, and saw other teams afterwards. Those are when the Tier 3 free agents start registering.

Posted elsewhere- he was a defensive college teammate with Keenan Lewis at Oregon St.

He has 11 sacks in 4 years. Started 2 games in those 4 years for an average at best defense. But since the Saints have shown interest he's amazing

Well, he was playing behind maybe the best 3-4 rush linebacker in the game, and another pretty good player in Anthony Spencer.

He's shown he can be a solid pass rusher. He had 3 or 4 sacks in a short span last year when he actually got some starts, and he's young so it would seem his best football has yet to be played.

It has more to do that he knows the defense and he's young.

PFF on him over a month ago-

Given the team’s cap situation, it’s unclear whether they’ll have room to do anything outside of re-signing some of their own players. Victor Butler would be a solid acquisition as someone with experience as a 3-4 OLB, and someone who has played well in that role. As a reserve for the Cowboys, he picked up 15 QB disruptions in 132 pass rushes this season.

Before Anthony Spencer finally busted out big last year many in Dallas thought he was a clear heir apparent for that position.
