I saw a few. They began the first u/d expansion while I was a at LSU. That, Chilly Mac-gate, and Ted Schirmer were the hottest scandals on campus at the time.

Yep, I was a freshman with Billy Cannon in 1956 and lived in the old North Stadium on the West side.

Once, I was late for class and when running out of the "dorm", I literaly ran into Paul Dietzel.

Nope, I didn't knock him down since I only weighed about 150 pounds.

One of the nice things bout the old TS was that it was always packed & no one left at half time to go party outside. If those fans were still around intact, the new TS would be 10 times more intimidating. That was the TS that The Bear made his famous comments bout, as well as the DT from S.Cal.And, of course, very very few 1:00 pm kickoffs.

7777Tiger, we were there at the saame time. I started in '74 and remember Schirmer and Help Mac Pack all too well.

My first game was home against Colorado. Especially memorable because of the panty raid (the last one allowed). We would get up to yhe windows of the girls' dorm and get the panties with the girls' names. I got on the roof of Power ( a girls' dorm then) and got a XXXL size with the name and number of every girl onn the flor. I was busy for the whole semester. Ahhhhhh, good times.
