Tough spot for St Louis....Hire Jim Crews? Wait and search?

Everyone(media) is yelling for SLU to hire Jim crews, after taking over the Billikens and winning the A-10.
But, not so fast, as one of the few voices has claimed:
This is Majerus team
These are his players, he recruited
These are kids from his hot spots(recruiting), where majerus has major and respected ties
These kids fit majerus system
A lot was expected from them, coming into this year, with everyone back, even Majerus expected a very good team.
Crews has zero ties to local recruiting areas
Crews was a good coach at evansville, but did nothing special there.
crews left bball, because he lost the fire
Does Crews want to get back to the grinds of recruiting?
Emotion is taking over, but what to do?
We've seen guys make runs with others players, and get hired on, and become a super flop.
SLU is in tough spot, they should be cautious about this hire. It can make them or break them going into the catholic 7, in 2014.

I was wondering why he would leave for Southeastern, was half way thur his post before I realized it wasn't them.

This would make me go in a different direction. Besides, there are plenty of examples of teams excelling under an interim coach that first year and then falling off considerably after that. When you couple it with what the players are playing for this year, it could be an even steeper fall back if they keep Crews around.
They need to bring someone in that will definitely be a fit for the long term, not keep this guy because he held it together for one season.
I'm still waiting for SLU to be a favorite team option on this site. I want to put a Billiken next to my screen name. I've got more family that went there than went to LSU.
