It's funny to watch the real sports fan bitch about this.
This was a great move by ESPN "The Entertainment Network"
To the casual football spectator, this was a slam dunk hire.

Damn I like Key and Cris, they were going to ax them for Gonzo and RayRay? That would have been a terrible move.

hopefully he will be as bad as Emmitt Smith and will be gone with quickness

Statistic of the day: 75% of the new MNF desk crew never murdered anyone

Terribly risky move IMO, the guy probably has more haters than fans regardless if he's guilty or innocent.
The only reasonable explanation I can come up with of ESPN adding Lewis is for the attention they will undoubtably get by adding him to offset some of the Fox Sports 1 talk.
BTW I can't wait for his reactions as the Ravens crash & burn this upcoming year.

So ESPN does not conduct background checks or check references...good to know.

He should do a lou holtz type speech every week for a team on the MNF schedule to hype them up.

ESPN gonna need more water proof lens covers for the cameras if they do.

Love me some Ray Lewis!

Well we all knew he'd take a stab at the ESPN gig given the opportunity.

Ya'll keep getting pumped up only to be disappointed by these new sports channels.

Who's pumped up for it?

Good. Another reason not to watch M&M. Not only will he be on, M&M will be on their knees to him the whole time, like they are with all their jock employees. But make no mistake, ESPN hired him because of the controversy...i.e. pub.....he'll bring to the show. Why do you think Lou is on so many college football programs? The suits know he's hated, but hate can easily bring in ratings.

you do realize that Fox1 will have big time content from the get go don't you?
they already have deals in place with the Big12, Pac12, MLB, NASCAR, and UEFA Champions League.
that's a hell of a lot more than either CBS or NBC had when they started.

I was hoping he would go to the NFL network so I wouldn't have to see him.
I know it is an old bump, but I just now saw it at the bottom.
