What a great former Tiger. If I remember correctly he started at center all 4 years. I am thinking he was a walkon too. Is this correct?

Considered one of the best centers in the league for pretty much his whole career.

He was a 4 year starter and he was Dinardo's first commitment if I remember correctly. As supadave said, great player and even better person.

He was the first person Gerry Dinardo signed when he got to LSU. He Played Tight End and Defensive End @ Central High School. He was one of the best ever to come out of Baton Rouge.
All State in Football and Baseball (4 Baseball State Championships)
All District in Basketball and State Champion-runner up
He won The Advocate Star of Stars/Athlete of the year too.

No, he wasn't a walk on. He didn't start his freshman season as a starter but moved into the starting role late in the season if I remember correctly.
