yeah Harper has us by balls. But it looks like there is no dead money liability for cutting him after the 2013 season.

It's not that there is no dead money, they just don't list the signing bonus in the final year.
His cap number next year is $7.9 and cutting him would give us a $1.75 hit. You save $6.15 cutting him. With our cap woes getting even worse next year he is definitely a candidate for a restructure or a cut.
