Serious question: If it was a sell-off, who was buying?

You know I'm down for that.

Broke, since you're new to these discussions, I'll ask you a question I try to ask every Luddite:

Do you have a problem with Bitcoin itself, or is your problem with the concept of a crypto-currency in general?

No, you were just the last post in the thread. I'm asking anyone.

honestly? I probably would have if I had seen it.

Just to resell right now.

Like I've said before, I'm not sold on this as a currency and don't trust it, but my mind is still open.

That being said, I think it is absolutely gameable for a quick profit, just like last night.

Doesn't bitcoins have several market makers?

They had to keep dropping the price in order to generate bids. It's possible there were few people buying (no bids) other than the market makers. And that's why the price fell so much so quickly.

I don't know if I am or not. The stupid software doesn't say anything.

You obviously don't understand cryptography, especially the sophisticated cryptography used by bitcoins.

It is sharable, fresh-thinking unit enhancer cryptography using extended exuding hexidecimal projection technology which cannot be reversed even using a reverse-engineered heuristic instruction counterweight via a cross-platform optimal open system.*

I hope this helps you understand the wonderfulness that is bitcoins...

Dude, join a mining pool. You are wasting your time if you don't.

This. What's the need for it? Did people quit accepting the US Dollar? I can't wrap my mind around how this shite just shows up out of nowhere after a "mining" session. If a bunch of made up currency showed up at my house, the US Secret Service would be knocking. Consider me crazy but I enjoy the fact that the central bank controls currency instead of a Pentium 3.

+1

And I've asked multiple times, what stopped the creators from making millions of bitcoins for themselves in the beginning

I see Bitcoins are an accepted form of payment for bums now.
