LSU came into the game loose. Maybe too loose.

Instead of focusing and shooting during pregame warmups LSU took the time to joke around and put on a dunk contest. Everyone was trying their dunks and alley oops and the majority were missing them.

I liked seeing them having fun but they weren't prepared mentally to play the game today.

Coach Jones lit into O'Bryant after one particularly bad series of mistakes

Eddie Ludwig's inability to play cost the team dearly.

Ludwig brought some intangibles to the team. I think his absence on the floor for even a few minutes minimized his influence on the team.

Said this in few other threads...but lack of loose balls, bending.over for loose balls at waist Instesd of going for it, tipped passes, dribble off foot, all signs of not being mentally there.they believed their own hype I'm afraid.

And while all played bad..Hickey was horrendous. He was terrible in middle of press today. Bad decisions ,late reactions and then over compensate go for steal leading to layups. Not sure if he ever.cut off a.drive

Maybe his worst game of year

Absolutely right. They were back to the lethargic, no emotion team. Those lazy, slow passes that are so sloppy were back in force as well. JOB has gotten a lot better at passing but why in the world do you give the ball to him past the top of the key as he comes down in the half court set and why do you ever have him throw the ball in?

He made a lot of mistakes, ball going thru his legs, bumping his own player etc.

This is one time that "wait til next year" actually means something. The Tiger's front court will be top five in the conference next season. And the backcourt will be just as good, if not better with Quarterman moving into CC's spot. I do agree that for whatever reason, the team lacked focus today. CC being dinged up early in the game did not help either. I still think one win in the tourney gets the Tigers into the N.I.T. Not a bad season over all for JJ.

After a the delay caused by the clock malfunction, we were not the same team that started the game. And we could never get the focus back.

Plus, Ole Miss wanted this game bad, real bad.

Even today, I liked watching them more than the last few years with TJ.

Future is bright.
