Ever had an accidental discharge? Shot in someones direction unknowingly?
I have had several incidents im not proud of but each has taught me important lessons.
Once when I was younger and home alone I was playing with my 10/22. We had a basket ball goal and I was across the yard shooting at the head on the NBA symbol. Little did I know that there was a steel plate behind the backboard that was ricocheting and hitting the side of the house. Later when my dad was pressure washing the house he found 4 bullet holes in the siding.
Have also
Shot 357 through floor of house
Shot 40 cal through floor of office
Shot 30-06 into woods down range where a guy was fixing fence ( He didnt tell anyone he was gonna be there )

And you do what for a living?

Nope, but my buddy kept his finger on the trigger as he was putting his pistol in his holster a few weeks ago. Shot into the ground next to his leg, pretty scary stuff.

No man should have that many mishaps with a weapon, and still own one. just sayin

Jesus man. You are a poster child for gun control.
I accidentally shot the ground 12 feet in front of me with a pistol at a range one time. What do I win?

closest i have seen was dovehunting... walking out field and my cousin who was about 12-13yrs old pulled up on a low bird and shot....in exact direction of friend of ours about 15 feet away... blew his hat off his head... not one pellet hit him.

I had just bought my M&P .40 and was giving it a pre cleaning with a buddy at the house. I had cleared it and racked the slide and walked away. I came back and thought I had remembered clearing it but had my head in my arse and didn't check the pipe again so I pointed it at my shoot box and squeezed and of course jackass had chambered a round for some unbeknownst reason. I seriously wanted to hurt him. In the end it was my fault for not going through the steps again but I am glad that in my sub conscious I pointed at my shoot box to "dry" fire like always. Needless to say that specific person hasn't been around any of my weapons since and thank god he doesn't own any.

Most happened before the age of 16. Except the office one.

I've never had any...yet
My Mom was unloading her 25.06 next to me one time and she fired it right next to me on accident.
I've also witness a HS friend get shot in the face with buckshot at about 20 yards...

OH!
I shot myself in the hand with my pellet gun when I was like 7. I wanted to see if it would go through a coke can, so I held a coke can in one hand, and with the other hand, put the barrel to the can and pulled the trigger.
Yep. Went straight through the coke can into my hand

One of my genius friends decided he would try and shoot a try down on the creek with his shotgun. Didnt think to worn me and a buddy that were standing about 10 feet away with no shirts on... Result: pellets all in our chests

I believe Bapple has a story like that..
Checking the CO2 on a pellet gun by placing the gun up against his palm.... and pulling the trigger
Needless to say, there was CO2 left and there were bullets left
