Bird watchers wanting to see bald eagles in central LA.

FYI- I just passed the Morganza locks on LA 1, and just north of the locks is a flood plain with a couple of trees. There is an eagle nest with movement in it and another eagle was posted in the tree next to the nest. No pics because my good camera was at the house. There is a couple hundred yards between the road and the nest.

There's one in a tree off of Hoo Shoo Too too. Rode down there this morning. In a tree in a pasture across from Mallard Lakes.

Ive passed it several times and saw them flying across the road to the woods on the west side. They've been there since the 11 flood

There are babies in it as well...

I mean they're more like nearly full grown eagles at this point, but they're still full brown.

Bald Eagles are abundant in Louisiana these days, pretty soon they will need to open a hunting season so we can thin out their numbers.
