Should we have tried the "hack-a-Dwight" in crunch time?

It seems like we could have used Sims to stem the tide at some point.

Team gets the ball back after the foul shot if a player is fouled off the ball under 2 minutes

Doesn't mean you can't double Kobe, force him to pass to Dwight in those PNR situations, then foul them. I know you can't do like they used to do to Shaq and just foul him coming up the court sans ball, but I think we could have used that to take some of the bite out of their PNR game.

Well we didn't score for about 5 minutes prior to the 2 minute mark...so we might have been able to do it then.

I think Monty had decided that there wasn't enough time left for them to come back and didn't want to slow down the game. He probably didn't think of it. Young head coach

I think repeatedly punching Kobe in the face would have been more effective.

Nah, Kobe is still a better free throw shooter after a brain injury than Dwight is.

Yeah.

Looked like Kobe almost dared him to hit him for a second. Then Childs gave him the two piece without the biscuit
