10 Reasons why we stopped watching Glee

Let me preface this list by saying that I caught up with Glee halfway through its first season. I thought it was clever, original, had entertaining musical numbers (I like musicals) and was above all FUNNY.
So we (the whole family used to watch) all caught up and liked season one even though there were quite a few absurdities in the plots because like I said, its strengths were the music and the comedy.
Halfway through season 2 they started focusing on individual drama and not what made the show great. I stopped watching. I've caught a few shows here and there but it is unwatchable now even to my wife and daughter who were loyal for a long time.
I have a feeling this is the end of Glee. I give props to the author of this article for listing the main problem with Glee and that is being overly preachy.
Anway, by Glee, you were good for one season.

Homo.

Glee is turning men into homosexuals. You couldn't find a gayer show then that on tv.

The New Normal called Glee figs.

I don't think either of you have watched five minutes of the first season of Glee so STFU and go compensate for your latent homosexuality in some other thread.

If I did watch the first season I don't remember it. I HATE THIS frickING SHOW SO MUCH. I liked it better when my wife was watching Americas Next Top Model.

Overcompensation is really bad. It can lead to ugly things. There's actually a Glee episode that covers that, you should check it out.

I watched an episode and had wanted to beat the next colonial toddy I seen. It was beyond terrible and the whole football team picks on the band was super gay. The characters and everything about it screamed liberal hippy homosexual.

Nope, just asked the wife no need to over compensate.. Previews on tv all i need to come to my conclusion, that and the 75% gay and lesbian following of the show. The other 25% teenage girls and single women. Sorry broham were fo you fit into that demographic??

The one thing that show did was show musical artists that - at least at the time of season 1 - if they let TV remake one of their classic songs, it became popular again and they got more money from royalties of their originals because people sought their songs as well.
Only one person didn't let them remake his song in season 1 and he's still probably kicking himself for that.
Reality TV did the same thing for awhile, but it's gotten so bad - shows like American Idol - that people don't watch them any more, either.
Regular sitcoms that put classics into their episodes did this as well. This is starting to wear off now, but it still does have impact.
Probably no other show proved this like Glee did, though. That is probably the thing Glee will be remembered for the most.

I fit into the part that is confident in my heterosexuality and doesn't try to overcompensate by jumping in threads in which I have no basis for adding an opinion and saying "huh huh that's gay huh huh you're a fig"

I never called u a fig, some one is a homophobe..

quote:I'm pretty sure they broke a decades old Beatles record with the number of songs that went to the charts in their first season. Like you said though, that was early when it was new and different.

Glee is an awful shite storm of crappy musicals and annoying characters. It destroys good songs and has a vey gay vibe to it. The fact that you liked makes me question your sexuality.
