So in my office I have medium blue walls with a dark cordovan leather chair. Would a light gray rug be OK or is that too much of a clash of colors?

Well, I'm not sure why you'd ask me that, but sure, I think you'd be fine with light gray, though it would help if I knew the color of your floors. My, I do love a dark cordovan chair.....is it a big chair with lots of cushion?
