I know this is a random request, but my 1st game in LSU student section was the above referenced game when i was a senior in highschool. I am looking for video footage of his punt return to open the 4th quarter. Anyone can help? YouTube didn't help.
FYI, although i am VERY excited about Hill next year, Faulk was/is the man. All Eyez on 3.

Thanks Turkey, but that is the crucial 3rd and 1 run. Awesome! But im looking for thepunt return to open the 4th. I remember like it was yesterday, start of the 4th, down 20 to Houston, the band plays to start the 4th, then the crowd erupts as Faulk takes it 70 yds for a TD. We score 21 in 4th and win 35-34!

I was in the student section for that game too. Wasn't Faulk supposed to be suspended for that game? It was a good call to let him play.
Time for a csb: anyone at that game remember the situation...we're down fourteen or twenty, with the ball, we fumble, Houston guy picks it up, none of the Tigers realize this guy's running to get to the sideline to house it, Dan Borne drops an in-the-middle-of-the-action "fumble on the play," finally one of our guys sees him, drags him down from behind, and saved another TD for them. Defense held, gave us a little mo, and Faulk takes over. Anybody remember that? Am I making it up that Dan Borne saved that game?

I remember that game also. I was mad that LSU was losing that game until. Kevin took over the game.

Pretty sure you weren't the only one.
Another csb about that game...LSU's surprisingly getting spanked at half-time...by Houston of all teams. Some marketing wunderkind somewhere decided that at halftime, they were going to have the people sing happy birthday to a midfield LA Lottery flag and some sparklers the cheerleaders were holding. They were booed like they were in Philadelphia.

I like how there was no game information on the screen like score or game time but they leave up that it is 10:20 and 80 degrees.

He played QB at Carencro with Damien James as HB.

Mealy had a lot to do with that win also.

I was there. If I remember correctly, Faulk sat out the 1st qtr. Didn't he fumble his first carry and it was returned for 6? I've never seen someone take over an entire game like that. Houston or not, incredible to witness. Best individual athletic performance ive seen in person. Glad I didn't leave like many. 35-34. I believe we were 26 pt favorites.

I think faulk set the single game rushing yd mark that night. Probably bested since then. He was a machine. I still remember seeing "all eyez on 3" shaved in his hair that night. And even tupac would have agreed if he didnt die a week later.

Faulk was crazy as a freshman in that indy bowl. I think that was the game just before the Houston performance i startedthe thread about.

Negative ....Damien James is quite a few years younger.
Derek Beavers was the tailback who actually signed with LSU out of HS along with Wade Richey. Derek was a all American but transfered to Mcneese after a year.

I didn't realize Bill Worrel called UH football games. Also didn't realize they were televised on TV51.

What a great game. My wife was six months pregnant and she was tired and besides that, we were down by 20 points. We were about to leave at the end of the third quarter for our two-hour drive home and she said, "We'll just watch this punt return before we leave." And BOOM! As you can well imagine, we didn't go anywhere.
