I think they were misused by Spags. Jenkins was given too much space to cover

Wasn't the same thing said about Jenkins under Williams too? I remember everyone used to say that since we blitzed so much, Jenkins had to cover too much of the field by himself and Spags' scheme would be a better fit.

I was optimistic as hell about Jenkins a couple of years ago, and was a big Harper defender, but these guys have to be replaced. No reason at all to keep playing them. No more excuses about what scheme fits better, or the lack of talent around them. We went through 2 D coordinator's with two completely different schemes and neither of them fit Jenkins or Harper. IAQ plays with the same guys around Jenkins and out played him by MILES. At this point, I'm willing to try anyone else with a pulse at SS whether it is Bush, White, or a draft pick like Vaccaro or Rambo.

I think we all thought he did great as a nickle/rover guy. When he moved to FS, he did well, but not great both years. Last year was the suck fest for the enitre defense.

That being said, IAQ played really well. He should have had more PT at safety and Jenkins more at nickle in the former DC's scheme last year. I think we all knew that except the former DC.

Yep. And it's not like he hasn't had his chance. There's plenty of film on the guy. When is the experiment over?
