Yeah, it has, but it's going to be even more pronounced once Brees's cap hit get's bigger and we don't as much cheap labor/talent to fill in the roster. We've been relying a lot more on FA to build our team.

If we were able to get Revis without giving up a ton of draft picks (by adding in players) then I'd be all for it. But dammit I'm tired of losing draft picks.

Couldnt have said it better. Im very tired of only having 4 draft picks a year and never having a 1st or second. Honestly I dont know that id want to do it if we lose our first this year. Wouldnt have a pick all the way til the 3rd again

This could be a very good sign.

if this happens, it certainly sounds we're going "all in" for the short term likely at the expense of the ling term. I mean, no way we can afford a guy like revis long term, with Brees and our O line, and a few others. Plus we lose even more draft picks if we do the Revis thing, which we havent had many of lately. Our well runneth dry.

Maybe we compete for and win a SB or two the next few years, then its rebuild time. Hopefully it wont be for more than a few years if it happens.

Source said he heard the jets might want both Harper and Jenkins with a 1st round pick:
My response: I won't give them 15 I will give them a 3rd this yr and probably a 3rd next yr that can be bumped to a second if Revis has a Pro Bowl year. In the case of letting go both safeties i dont care take them they are fricking garbage and ill ask them to throw in a 4th or 5th round pick for us. Plus Taking both of them will be 7 to 8 million off our books so even with Revis 6 million we still making 1-2 million, and ill give Ed reed a call. Tell him come to your hometown we are in a win now mode, and you can play with the best CB in the NFL.

Wow. Thats better than I thought...but I'd still sure as hell try and hang on to that 1st.

I don't know how much I buy they want both Harper and Jenkins considering they're trying to resign Laron Landry as well.

I wouldnt mind IAQ grabbing a spot at all, but man I'd really like another vet at the other spot. Two first time starters at S worries me.

At this point, I'd love to get Reed as well.

Well they know if acquire Harper that him and Landry are both pretty bad at covering for safeties.

Exactly I think IAQ and Reed will be very good, and watch out according to my source Sean Payton and Rob Ryan really like Corey White at SS.

I really think we have some great young talent in IAQ, white, Mack, and bush. These guys excite me.

I could definitely see that. I think he could fit well there with IAQ at FS. I'm excited that they're looking to shake things up and not settle for the same results every year.
